Deep Sea Charter Fishing: Miami, Miami Beach & Sunny Isles Beach, Florida

Before Jackie Gleason called Miami Beach the Sun & Fun Capital of the World in the 1960s, Miami Beach was known for it's sportfishing.

When Carl Fisher began his quest to turn a barren sandbar into the American Riviera during the 1920s, he would take prospective buyers on a deepsea fishing trip from Miami to show them the sand bar he was turning into Miami Beach before getting them emotionally involved in the excitement of sportfishing.

Charter fishing boats now take people sportfishing in the Gulf Stream, which is within 30 minutes Miami Beach via Government and Haulover Cuts. Today, charter fishing boats utilize marinas from Haulover Park to Miami Beach Marina, offering deep sea fishing 1/2 and full day charters.

The Bill Bird Marina at Haulover Park is home to several deepsea fishing charter boat operators, including New Moon Sportfishing. The New Moon & New Moon III are docked near the Bill Bird marina office and fuel dock.

Tuna, Yahoo, Grouper, Snapper, as well as sailfish, are options. You can keep what you catch, although we encourage a catch and release approach for all game fish. We'll take pictures, so you can have your gamefish souvenir, without killing it.
